New Hope Elementary and North Whitfield middle schools are among a number of schools that have earned recognition from the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA).
Students in 139 schools in 50 districts earned a silver, gold, or platinum award for making the greatest gains in student achievement.
According to the governor’s office, “The school awards are part of Georgia’s Single Statewide Accountability System (SSAS). Highest Performing schools must earn a three-year average College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) Achievement Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile. Greatest Gains schools must earn a three-year average CCRPI Progress Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile.”
